CLAIRE HOUSE CHILDREN’S HOSPICE
….where quality of life is precious...

Imagine the heartbreak of being told that your child may not live beyond childhood years. Claire House Children’s Hospice is dedicated to making the most of a life that is limited, not just for the child, but for the whole family.
We are a lifeline for over 300 families. As well as providing specialist respite and terminal care for children with life limiting or life threatening conditions, we provide bereavement care for as long as it is needed.
This highly specialised care and support costs in excess of £2.2 million each year. As we receive no direct funding from the NHS we are dependent on people like you to sustain our vital work.

Please consider leaving a legacy of love to Claire House. Every gift in every will makes a difference.

What could your gift buy?
...a child’s smile...Priceless!

A story about a Legacy of love

Betty Albutt

Betty from Newton le Willows left a very generous gift of almost £20,000 in her will to Claire House when she died aged 71 years.
Having worked as a midwife and health visitor, Betty had a love of and affinity with children. Unmarried and living with her mother and twin brother for most of her life, she had no children of her own.

The death of her brother, who had suffered from cerebral palsy, had a devastating affect on Betty. One of the reasons she left a gift to Claire House was her appreciation of how difficult life is for children and young people with such a profound disability.
This gift in her will paid for a nurse’s salary, ensuring that Betty’s love of children will live on at Claire House, helping to give us future security.
